CLUBHOUSE HIRING AGREEMENT

The Clubhouse is available for hire to any San Marina Recreational Club member at the current rate of R700.00 which includes a refundable deposit of R350.00 subject to the conditions stipulated below.

Marina da Gama residents may hire the hall, at the committees discretion, at the current rate of R2000.00 which includes a refundable deposit of R1000.00 subject to the conditions stipulated below.

The hall will not be hired out to outside members of the public under any circumstances. The hall is for the use of residents only.


RULES WITH REGARD TO THE HIRE OF THE HALL:

Bookings will not be taken from any member until all outstanding subscription fees are paid in full.

Provisional bookings are only confirmed once the hall hire fee has been paid in full.

Evening functions are to end at midnight.

Music, of any nature, is to be played at a reasonable level so as not to cause a disturbance to the surrounding residents.

People attending the function may not park their vehicles so as to inconvenience any resident nor block any driveway. The Hirer is responsible for the parking of their guests vehicles.

The Hirer is responsible for the behaviour of their guests and must be present at all times.

The Clubhouse is to be cleaned, tidied and the keys returned by 10:00 a.m. the following morning. Cleaning includes sweeping the braai area, and braai trays, sweeping and mopping of the clubhouse floors, washing up all utensils used from the clubhouse, cleaning the tables and chairs and emptying the bins from the kitchen and toilets into the outside wheelie bin.

The television set, DVD player and DSTVdecoder do not form part of the hire of the hall and may not be used during the function.

The Hirer only hires the clubhouse and braai area. The swimming pool (including the surrounding area) and tennis court are out of bounds at all times.

Members/Residents are still permitted to use the outside facilities, while you are using the hall, until 8:00 p.m.

The committee members are indemnified from any liability for losses, damage or any injuries incurred.

RETAINMENT OF HALL HIRING DEPOSIT:

The Hirers deposit will not be returned if the above rules are not complied with or if any of the following occurs:

The facilities are misused in any way (including the plumbing)  Hirer will be billed accordingly.

Breakages of any kind have occurred  Hirer will be billed accordingly.

Property is missing  Hirer will be billed accordingly.

Complaints have been received from residents as regards:-
a. Parking problems.
b. Excessive noise includes music, vehicles and voice during and after your function.
c. Litter left inside the club's grounds or outside where the vehicles were parked.

Remember that the Clubhouse is in the middle of a residential area. If the above rules/conditions are not adhered to, the committee will have no option but to retain your deposit.


I/We, the Hirer, do hereby agree to abide by the rules/conditions as set out in the above Clubhouse Hiring Agreement. I/We understand that my/our deposit could be forfeited if the Clubhouse Hiring Agreement rules/conditions are not adhered to.

The San Marina Recreational Club and its committee members shall not be liable to the Hirer or any other person or instance for any injury or loss or damage of any type to property or person or destruction whatsoever which the Hirer or any member of his/her family or any employer or employee, servant or relative, friend or acquaintance, visitor, invitee or guest of the Hirer may sustain directly or indirectly in or about the Hired Premises. The Hirer hereby accepts responsibility for, and indemnifies the San Marina Recreational Club and its committee members or any of its employees or servants against any claim by or any injury, loss or damage to any such person, instance or vehicle.

Deposit money not collected within 21 days from hiring date will be with held and will not be paid back to hirer.
